Casandra Petersen

Casandra grew up on a dairy farm. She has loved working with and being around animals since childhood. After studying abroad in Denmark, in December of 2017, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology from Murray State University. Continuing on at Murray State, she obtained a Master’s in Science of Agriculture with a Certificate in Veterinary Hospital Management in 2019. Also, while studying at Murray State, she discovered a love of teaching; first as a Teaching Assistant then as a Graduate Assistant. Having worked in multiple clinics, Casandra has experience with all walks of life from dogs and cats, to livestock, and exotics. Fostering animals and three fur-babies at home keep her on her toes when not working. Casandra joined the Caris team in February 2023.
