Jessica was born and raised in Louisville, KY. Prior to starting her nursing career, Jessica earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville. It wasn’t until many years later that she decided to attend an accelerated nursing program at Bellarmine University with the intent to become a mental health nurse. Jessica is a board certified nurse case manager and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. She obtained her masters degree in nursing leadership and Administration from Capella University and is currently attending a post-master’s certificate program at Northern Kentucky University to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Jessica joined the Caris College team in 2023 as a nursing instructor to share her knowledge of mental health nursing with others.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and son as well as working on her gluten free food blog. When she’s not in class, you can find her hanging out in the kitchen cooking up new recipes!
