Laura was born in Elkhart, Indiana, and moved to South Carolina ten years later. After graduating high school, she attended the University of South Carolina Upstate, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Later, she obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Cardiovascular Technology at The Harry T. Harper, Jr. MD School of Heart and Vascular Technology, affiliated with Augusta Technical College, in Augusta, Georgia. Laura became registered by CCI as a Cardiac Technologist (Adult) in 1997. She then worked in the cardiovascular lab in Anderson, SC, for three years before leaving to become a traveling cardiac sonographer in over nine different facilities for eight years. Laura moved back to Indiana, working in a variety of hospitals since 2008. She is very excited to share her knowledge and experience in the rewarding and growing field of Cardiac Sonography.
