Shaina joined the Caris College team in June 2019 as a part-time Adjunct Instructor and later took a full-time position as the Lead Instructor of the Comprehensive Dental Assisting Program.
Shaina graduated from Dental Careers of Southern Indiana where she obtained her Basic Dental Assisting and EDDA diploma in 2008 graduating at the top of her class. Shaina completed her externship with Clark County Health Department under direct supervision of Dr. Donna Rush, who was a true pioneer in the dental community. While gaining experience Shaina also, worked for Dental Careers of Southern Indiana teaching and acting as a fellow mentor to future dental assistants. Shaina was later accepted into the University Of Louisville Delegated Duties Program in 2008 to perfect her skill as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant. Shaina holds her License as an RDA in Indiana and a Dental Radiography license for both Indiana and Kentucky State Departments of Health she also, holds a certificate of competency in Radiation Health and Safety from the Dental Assisting National Board and is a licensed AHA BLS Instructor.
Before joining Caris, Shaina was employed in General Dentistry where she worked with military dentists and specialized in Dental Implants, Endodontics, and Oral surgery. Shaina has two children and four fur babies.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her cat Maverick.
